The Tony and Olivier Award-winning show is one of the few musicals to win an Academy Award for Best Picture and is widely hailed as a true theatrical masterpiece by actors and audience members alike.\nThe streets of Victorian England come to life as Oliver\, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse\, becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker. Oliver escapes to London and finds acceptance amongst a group of petty thieves and pickpockets led by the elderly Fagin. When Oliver is captured for a theft that he did not commit\, the benevolent victim\, Mr. Brownlow takes him in. Fearing the safety of his hideout\, Fagin employs the sinister Bill Sikes and the sympathetic Nancy to kidnap him back\, threatening Oliver’s chances of discovering the true love of a family.\nOliver! JR. is full of classic songs like “Consider Yourself”\, “Food Glorious Food”\, and “Oom-Pah-Pah”\, and perfectly showcases the talents of a large ensemble cast.

As his son seeks to understand what is real and what is myth\, audiences are taken on a magical adventure that celebrates family\, love\, and the power of imagination. \nThe talented Penndale cast and crew have been working diligently to bring this visually stunning and emotionally moving show to life. With memorable music\, colorful characters\, and meaningful themes\, Big Fish is a production audiences of all ages will enjoy. \nPerformances will take place on Friday\, March 13th at 7:00 PM\, and Saturday\, March 14th at 1:30 PM and 7:00 PM. \nTickets are $10 and will be available at the door. \nCommunity members\, families\, and friends are invited to join Penndale for this special theatrical event and support the hard work of its student performers.
