Reopening of the Freight House
April 18 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Please join us this Saturday, April 18, as we cut the ribbon on our decade-long quest to rehabilitate the historic Lansdale Freight House for the next century.
With the invaluable support of our friends, our neighbors and our local businesses, we will at last be opening the Freight House doors (111 South Broad St.) from noon to 4 p.m., with a number of very special guests joining the ribbon-cutting at 1 p.m.
We’ll be offering tours of the newly renovated, 124-year-old solid stone structure, with a venue very soon available for public and private events. You’ll see the future home of the Lansdale Welcome Center for visitors and newcomers to town, and walk through a display area honoring the town’s industrial history.
Families will enjoy the huge train layout in the main hall. We will have music by Chris Ricco, free water ice by Rita’s of Lansdale (weather permitting) and other refreshments, and much more — all to thank you for your donations, your expressions of encouragement, and your sharing our vision of the future for such a unique symbol of Lansdale’s heritage.
