Free Food Fest

North Penn High School students in the Sharing Excess North Penn Club will be holding “Free Food Fest ” at NPHS (1340 Valley Forge Road, Lansdale) on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 11 am to 2 pm.
The community is invited to attend this event and receive fruit, vegetables, and other produce at no cost. There are no questions asked when receiving food donations, and no requirements to receive food.
This is the second food distribution event held by the Sharing Excess North Penn Club. The last event provided 400 pounds of food to nearly 100 people. The March 2 event will have triple the amount of food available to give out to anyone in the community.
The food is provided by Sharing Excess, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Philadelphia and dedicated to reducing food waste while increasing food access and helping those in need. NPHS has started a chapter of Sharing Excess to tackle food insecurity in the North Penn School District and give students a chance to give back to the community.
